Terms of Use

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. About Twenty Places

Twenty Places is an independent football prediction game. Users can predict Premier League finishing positions, make Cup Calls, join private mini-leagues and compare scores. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you should use the service with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.

3. Game rules and scoring

Twenty Places uses the scoring rules shown in the product. Premier League predictions lock once submitted. Cup Calls also lock once submitted. Exact league positions score -1; other league positions score the absolute difference between predicted and actual position. Cup winners and losing finalists can apply the bonuses shown in the product. Mini-leagues may use either table-only scoring or table-plus-cups scoring. Lower scores are better.

We may correct obvious scoring, data or technical errors. Official football data can be delayed, corrected or unavailable, so live scores should be treated as provisional until the underlying results are settled.

4. Fair play and acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, attempt to access another person's account, interfere with the site, automate abusive requests, scrape protected user data, exploit bugs, manipulate league results, impersonate others, or use offensive or unlawful display names or content. We may suspend or remove accounts, leagues or content where reasonably necessary to protect the service or other users.

5. No gambling or prizes

Twenty Places is currently a free prediction game. It does not accept stakes, bets or wagers and does not currently offer cash prizes. If paid features, prizes or promotions are introduced later, separate rules or updated terms may apply.

6. Football names and third-party rights

Twenty Places is independent and unofficial. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or licensed by the Premier League, The Football Association, UEFA, any football club, competition or governing body. Club and competition names are used for identification and descriptive purposes only. All third-party trademarks and intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Our intellectual property

The Twenty Places name, original branding, software, interface, copy and original game presentation are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not give you ownership of them. You may use the service for normal personal, non-commercial play.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We aim to keep it running reliably but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. We may fix, update, add, remove or suspend features where reasonably necessary, including during beta testing.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. To the extent permitted by law, Twenty Places is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, this free beta service, or from temporary errors in third-party football data or infrastructure.

10. Closing your account

You can delete your account from Account settings. Deletion removes your account and associated Twenty Places profile, predictions, scores and league memberships. Where you own a league with other members, ownership may be transferred to another member so the league can continue.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how personal data is used and protected.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by changing the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by providing an additional notice.

13. Governing law and consumer rights

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes relating to these terms or use of Twenty Places will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings or rely on mandatory protections in another jurisdiction.

14. Contact
